What could be the underlying causes behind memory lapses in younger people?

Grandma: "Honey, what's the name of that German fellow who keeps hiding things all over the house?"
Grandson: "It's Alzheimer, Grandma..."

So, how exactly does he manage to find his way into the homes of younger people?

Are we talking about forgetting what you did five minutes ago, or just struggling to memorize a massive textbook for an exam?

It could be anything... drugs, alcohol... pick your poison...🤣

Could be anything—drugs, booze... take your pick.🤣

The "forgetting things" kind—like, I don't know what I was doing five minutes ago. And just for the record, I'm not an alcoholic, I'm not on drugs, and I'm not old (regardless of how some people see me).😉

One of those thousand potential culprits behind memory issues? Hypothyroidism—basically when your thyroid decides to take a permanent vacation.

It's just stress... burnout... too much information hitting you all at once. Lately, my workload has been so heavy that I’ve developed literal "memory gaps" where I can't recall specific details of my day. 🤔
God help you if you ask me about something I did yesterday.😬

I’m dealing with this too. It’s like I’ll be mid-sentence, hit a mental wall, and just... stop. Or someone asks, "Wait, didn't you just say you were at..." and I honestly have no clue what I was talking about two seconds ago.
If I need to remember a single word, I’m basically getting a zero.
Honestly, man, I’m starting to get pretty worried about my finals at State University.
Help!
Just to be clear, I’m not an alcoholic or a drug user or anything like that. This is just typical teenage stuff—my mood swings fifty times a day.
