Hey ladies!
There are so many different weight loss pills on the market these days—some are pretty mild, while others can be downright dangerous. I was wondering if anyone here has actually tried Metabolism? How does it work for you? Does it cause any side effects? Is it legit, or is it just someone selling snake oil?

Which pills have actually worked for you without making you feel terrible? Personally, I wouldn't touch Reductil; it really messes with your hormone balance.

I know the feeling—I’ve been dealing with weight issues forever, but honestly, the idea of popping pills scares the hell out of me.
The standard advice is always "eat less, move more, snack on a carrot," and yeah, easy to say, much harder to actually do. I spent years chasing every shortcut under the sun—diets, calorie counting, I’ve read every single book ever written on nutrition.
But let’s be real: none of those pills are the magic fix. You have to actually change your lifestyle and how you think about food. Trust me, stay far away from the medication route. Just look at what’s happening on the news lately; you see people dealing with horrific side effects from drugs that millions of Americans are taking every day.
Maybe acupuncture could be a decent little assist for weight loss, but at the end of the day, it all comes down to willpower and actually breaking those old habits.

If there were ever such a thing as a universal weight loss pill, believe me, everyone would be talking about it—and it would probably cost a fortune because of the demand.

As Taylor King7 mentioned, it really comes down to lifestyle changes: getting more active, adjusting your diet by cutting back on portions, spreading meals out more often, and keeping fats and carbs to a minimum. That’s basically it.

A friend and I both gave it a shot. Honestly, we didn't notice any side effects at all—it was as gentle as drinking chamomile tea!
At least it didn't cause any trouble.
We both went through two bottles each, so we definitely gave it enough time to actually show some results.
I haven't tried anything else, though!

Save your money, man! When I think back to how many of those pills I used to buy all at once... I must have blown through at least $333 (the entire savings of a high schooler), and for what? Absolutely nothing!

God help us...

The market is absolutely flooded with weight loss pills these days—some are relatively harmless, while others seem downright sketchy. I was wondering if anyone here has actually tried Metabolism, and if so, how does it work for you? Are there any side effects worth worrying about? Or is it all just expensive smoke and mirrors?

Which pills have actually worked for you without making you feel like garbage? Personally, I wouldn't touch Reductil; it really messes with your hormonal balance.

My box specifically says METABOLISM CAPSULES, METABOLISM ACTIVATOR... maybe yours is labeled differently.🙄
My metabolism has always been pretty sluggish, and Metabolism has been great for me (well, on the occasions I actually remember to take it😁).
As for losing weight, honestly, sticking to a solid diet paired with regular exercise is the only real way to go. The sooner you accept that reality, the more money you'll keep in your pocket—just speaking from experience here.😎

I’m genuinely curious here... how on earth does one single pill impact metabolic speed? Like, is money just pouring out of your ears or something? 😕

I can't say I've ever personally tried any of those, but here's my take:

- I honestly think it's useless—basically just throwing money down the drain, if you ask me.
- You have to make changes elsewhere. Taking a single pill or following whatever some box tells you to do isn't going to cut it. If those worked, everyone would just pop a pill for everything and be perfect.

Real change requires action!

Decide to skip those endless coffee dates and liquid social gatherings (since those calories sneak up on you), or at least try going for a walk while catching up with friends instead.
Try adding some exercise into the mix, but start slow. Don't overdo it right away, or you'll get discouraged when you don't see instant results compared to how hard you worked. Forget about instant gratification! It might be easier to grab a bike and ride it regularly—maybe use it to commute to work or just head out somewhere—instead of relying on a car. Eventually, you'll find you can go further, and hitting new goals will become its own challenge. Just don't stress if you don't see a transformation overnight.
At the very least, you can expect your mood to lift 🙂.
As for food—rationally cut back on what you can, but please don't shock your system with sudden, drastic restrictions.

Just tell yourself that this is a long-term project and stay patient.

I’ve used Metabolism before and it’s great, but honestly, you won't feel much of anything until you've been on it for about three months. Yeah, I know, sounds like a drag. And let's be real—just taking Metabolism isn't going to magically melt the fat off if you're still overeating. It's strictly a metabolism activator meant to support weight loss, but you still need to watch your calories or stick to a diet.
For me, Metabolism was a lifesaver because my metabolism got completely trashed after dieting... basically, my digestion slowed way down and I was dealing with constant constipation and stuff. Metabolism helps prevent that from happening. And it actually works. It was the only thing that finally got my metabolism back to normal. If I ever decided to go on another diet, I’d definitely pair it with Metabolism.
Just popping Metabolism without doing anything else is pretty much pointless.

Look, for me, even just one pill was enough to send me sprinting straight to the bathroom!
And apparently, I’m not the only one who had that experience!
For what it's worth, a lady at the pharmacy—who happens to be a friend of mine, so she isn't just trying to hawk junk to me—recommended it. She's a sharp woman who actually reads the ingredients and knows what works and why, plus she’s pretty well aware of how much my digestive system struggles.😉
As for why I take it for two days and then don't touch it again for two months... well, I guess that’s a whole different conversation!

To put it bluntly, using Metabolism just means you'll be spending way more time on the toilet. 🙄

And you people actually call this "metabolic regulation"? 😕

I call it regulating your bowel movements.

Clearly, you don't have a clue what metabolic regulation actually means.🙄

Maybe you aren't familiar with what that word actually implies... people using "cleansing" products aren't fixing their metabolism; they're just managing irregular bowel movements. That’s the standard use case for laxatives. There's also a whole category of people who use those supplements, along with various diuretics, specifically to lose weight. That's a bad move.

In my view, a product that acts solely as a laxative doesn't qualify as a metabolism booster. Unless it triggers some other effect you haven't mentioned here.

Speaking of metabolism, I have a high metabolic rate because my baseline body temperature sits at a steady 98.6 degrees. It's like having a finicky carburetor; I burn through massive amounts of energy—meaning, I eat a ton of food. It has nothing to do with digestion.

I’ve always felt that Metabolism needs to be revved up at the cellular level first. Digestion itself should really just be a byproduct of that process.

I mean, sure, if we just focus on getting things moving through our system, that doesn't actually mean we've successfully jumpstarted our cellular metabolism.

Kenneth Hernandez67 said:Maybe you don't quite get what that word actually means... people taking stuff labeled as "cleanses" aren't actually fixing their metabolism; they're just dealing with irregular bathroom habits. That’s obviously true when you're talking about standard laxatives. Then you've got that whole group of people who use those supplements—and all kinds of diuretics—specifically to try and drop weight. Which is a terrible idea.

In my opinion, if a product only works as a laxative, it doesn't count as a metabolism booster. Unless it's doing something else you didn't mention.

But that's exactly the point—Metabolism isn't a laxative. I already said it helped me stay regular, which is just one symptom of having a messed up metabolism. I specifically avoided using laxatives because they aren't healthy.
To be more specific about Metabolism capsules:
Metabolism is basically the sum of all the biochemical processes happening inside the human body—the stuff that builds up, breaks down, and repairs cells to keep everything running.
For your metabolism to actually kick into gear and run normally, unsaturated fatty acids are huge, especially gamma-linolenic acid (GLA).
GLA is super biologically active. It comes from linoleic acid, which you only really get through a healthy diet rich in plant oils. Once that gets processed biochemically, the end result is prostaglandin E1. This thing acts almost like a hormone and plays a massive role in activating the metabolism by regulating vital cell functions.
Prostaglandin E1 has a very specific job when it comes to firing up fat metabolism. It makes it easier for fat to be released from the cells and converted into actual energy. That whole biochemical mechanism is what allows the body to shed fat deposits more easily.
Metabolism® capsules naturally replenish the GLA in your system, making sure you have enough prostaglandin E1 synthesized to keep your metabolism optimal and speed up the breakdown of fat stores.

So, Lucy, what’s your take on all this?
Because I am seriously dealing with these exact issues right now. Do you happen to know anything about what’s actually safe to take and what isn't? I don't have the full box anymore, just the little bottle of capsules, but if my memory serves me right, the whole thing was supposed to be plant-based.
And honestly, which is the lesser of two evils: dealing with chronic constipation where I'm barely hitting the bathroom once a week, or taking something like this?😕
