I have successfully installed Windows 10 onto an SSD, and the system appears to be functioning correctly. However, I am encountering a specific issue where my secondary IBM drive is not being recognized within Windows, despite the fact that it shows up perfectly fine in the BIOS. How does one resolve this so the drive becomes visible in the OS?

You’ll need to jump into Disk Management to get that formatted—just head in there and look for the drive showing up as "unallocated space." From there, you can just right-click and follow the prompts to create a new partition, which should make it show up under "This PC" once you're done.

I figured I'd drop a video tutorial here, just to make things a little easier for you.🙂

Look, if you've got a partition sitting there with all your important files but it just doesn't have a drive letter assigned, don't sweat it—just go ahead and manually assign one, like F:
. ...but if you already went ahead and hit format, then the data is gone, even if the drive letter shows up and you can see the partition again.

There was absolutely nothing left on it, but I managed to get it back up and running...
thanks 🙂
