Not sure where this belongs, so if anyone knows, let me know. My grandfather passed away recently, and before him, my grandmother. Her father left for Uruguay back in the early 30s and just never came back. I doubt he even had a photo of my grandma. She only had one picture of him, taken somewhere back in the 40s. Now that I’ve finally found that photo along with some old papers, I want to try and track him down—or at least see if he had any descendants living in Uruguay. There’s always been this rumor that he lived there with someone, but nobody can prove it. So, my question is where do I even start?All I know is he was in New York City, and that's about it. There’s an address on the back of the photo from when it was taken. He passed away sometime in the 80s.
