Missing post?

Why does my post vanish after a few minutes? For example, I’ll hit send, see it right there on my screen, but when I come back to the thread later, my post is nowhere to be found—even though other people are already quoting it.

Usually, you just have to leave the thread, exit the site, or hit Microsoft to refresh the page before your post actually shows up... unless, of course, a moderator nuked it. They tend to wipe anything that doesn't fit the topic... but that rarely happens. It's more likely just some technical glitch or lag...
