I honestly don't even know where to start—this isn't my first rodeo. I’m going to drop a link to a thread where things just completely boiled over today, and I’d really like to ask the mods and admins to take a serious look at how that specific discussion is being moderated. I’m at a loss for words regarding the behavior of certain users lately; it’s become a constant cycle. Now, I don't think Brenda Sanders56 is being biased, but it feels like he either doesn't fully grasp the situation or is being way too soft. Every time he issues a warning, it just seems to vanish into thin air without making any impact.

Instead of handing out penalties for repeated rule-breaking, the moderator on that thread decided to show off by posting about which ISP I use... 🤷

Some people here are trolling constantly and very deliberately. For them, getting flagged for spam or losing 35 points means absolutely nothing; they just wait for the heat to die down and then go right back to their old ways...

I actually got a strike myself just for calling people out as trolls. This happened after I was previously warned for using a word like "damn," while the same moderator ignored the current "heroes" who were calling me a Fascist simply because of my opinion—which, obviously, has nothing to do with fascism. I’ve dealt with a lot, but I felt like I had no choice but to speak up because this whole ordeal has been dragging on forever, especially since that user "Zebu" showed up... (I don't know how else to describe it, but you'll see what I mean once you look; a lot of it has already been deleted). It’s happening without any consequences, even though that person does it constantly (and, again, I was called a Fascist by them before, so maybe check their older posts).

There are several pages of mess here, and honestly, there's so much to cover that I don't even know where to begin. And that’s just the recent stuff. I have to approach it this way, but I think you'll quickly realize exactly what I'm talking about...

I've been thinking about starting a dedicated thread about all of this for a while now. I wasn't that interested before, but now it has truly become impossible to post or share an opinion on that thread, which is incredibly frustrating as an American.

Thanks in advance, and I'm just asking you to please look at the thread—specifically the systematic shutting down of certain topics regardless of the arguments presented, almost as if the original poster is just delivering a monologue to the forum—and review the strikes issued...

Has any admin actually taken the time to look into this thread? Specifically, I’m talking about the part where the link was posted and what was mentioned in the previous message. I also wanted to point out that one of our regular contributors—someone who participates in these discussions all the time—had a link in their signature featuring an image of a bra hanging over a religious icon, among other things. That link has vanished, yet I don't see a ban... How far does this go?

It isn't just about being incredibly tasteless or disrespecting people's beliefs; it's clearly blatant provocation, which seems to be the only reason some people even bother showing up to this thread. Honestly, I could act the exact same way (which is unfortunately the only way to survive in a place like that), but I come to this forum to have actual discussions, not to vent my frustrations. Unfortunately, given the current user base and the moderation keeping them in line, that's becoming impossible, at least in this controversial thread.

So, my final question is: are we finally going to start permanently removing trolls from this thread? I'm not talking about just deleting posts or handing out temporary spam bans after they've spent an entire day and five pages systematically undermining the topic through constant baiting, insults, and nonsense. At this point, it feels like they are the only ones left writing anyway, because everyone else has been driven away by this behavior—and, frankly, by the moderation itself.

And here’s the latest update, starting tonight... It’s the same old crowd, as usual...

I’m really glad to see everyone is so active today... 😁

But honestly... some of this stuff is starting to happen all over again...

For instance, people have started labeling everything "fascist" again—and it's always coming from the exact same user. Even after the Admin made it crystal clear that this behavior would lead to a ban because it's gotten ridiculous, users are still jumping on one another just for having a different opinion. And once again, it's always that same person doing the accusing. The problem is, the Admin isn't around right now, and some of the newer moderators don't seem to realize how bad things have gotten...

Here is the controversial post...

It’s more than just annoying; it's textbook trolling. This is how the whole discussion plays out...

The guy starts by asking something...

Then I give him an answer, making sure to back it up with links.

And then comes the classic accusation of fascism...

I'm posting this because I actually got a warning for:

Maybe my wording wasn't perfect, but given the context, I don't think a warning was really necessary. I mean, okay, maybe I used a "q" instead of a "k" to be a little cheeky... 🤷
