Money Matters

I have a quick question—just purely out of curiosity, really—but I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of paper is actually used to print currency, like US dollars or other banknotes? I’m specifically interested in the weight or the GSM, if you will... basically, does anyone here know much about the printing process itself? I’ve tried digging around online, but I can't seem to find much specific info on this. Thanks in advance, and cheers!
