My Apple monitor has suddenly started flickering on me. It’s this weird waving effect across the screen. I’ve already checked my graphics drivers and they seem fine, so I'm wondering what else could be causing this? thanks

It’s possible there might be an issue with the cable you're currently using. I’d suggest trying out a different one just to see if that clears things up.

Have you perhaps connected your TV to your PC?

Give it a shot and see if you can test the same rig with a different monitor. I went through the exact same headache back when my graphics card was starting to flake out 😉

You should probably take a hard look at that cable; there might be some physical damage somewhere, or perhaps it just isn’t seated firmly enough in the port. It’s also worth checking if you have any electronic devices sitting too close to the monitor or the cord itself, because they can easily create electromagnetic interference... Honestly, those are exactly the kinds of headaches that have tripped me up in the past. I’m running a 206BW setup myself, and I’ve dealt with similar glitches quite a few times when using a standard VGA cable.
