Motherboard driver issues

I have installed Windows 7 on my Epox NPA9+ motherboard
which came with the Nforce drivers. However, after running the installation, it feels like nothing actually happened; Windows 7 isn't recognizing my LAN card, my audio, or even half of my other hardware. I have attempted to install more recent driver versions, but so far, I haven't had any luck. If anyone happens to have a suggestion on how to fix this or knows which specific driver version might work, please let me know. Thank you.

Anyway, Windows 7 actually has this really solid feature tucked away in Windows Update that works surprisingly well,
when you're running an update, make sure to check out the hardware section—you can probably just pick out all the drivers you need right there for the installation.

I am unable to perform an update because my network card isn't being recognized, which prevents me from connecting to the internet.

Honestly, you're much better off just installing them manually.

...I installed about ten of them, and even for those where everything seems fine after a restart... nothing happens

Hold on, did you actually download the drivers specifically for Windows 7, or are you trying to force the ones from Windows XP to work? 🙂

I have tested various versions, primarily Windows 7 or Vista, which should also work well, and I believe I even tried a few XP drivers.

It is a bit disheartening to read what Wikipedia says here.

Nvidia offers chipset driver downloads for nForce4 for Windows versions up to and including Vista in The " Legacy product type category on their download page.[9] However, there is no official support for Windows 7.

I am somewhat uncertain. I recall reading that others encountered this exact issue and found that using Vista drivers was a workaround, though that clearly isn't working for me.😠

Did you actually try running those Microsoft drivers through Compatibility mode? 🙂

...So, I just tested a few drivers using Compatibility mode. One was partially successful; from what I can tell, everything installed correctly except for the Ethernet driver. It still isn't detecting the LAN card, which is built directly into the motherboard...

I'll probably get this motherboard installed in a couple of days; I just finished rearranging my PC setup, and honestly, I’m feeling a little too lazy to dive right back in immediately... xD

So, here's the thing: once I start looking through the drivers, there isn't anything listed for Windows 7... it's just Windows XP, Vista, and so on. I wonder if those Vista ones might actually work,
though I'd probably have to rely on

I actually went ahead and grabbed some drivers from a third-party site for Windows 7, assuming they aren't total junk, but since the official site doesn't list anything for Windows 7, I'm a bit stuck.

The older board I'm currently running actually has drivers for both Windows 7 and 8 right there on the official site...

This current one is ancient; I tossed it into this rig way back in 2008, so it’s definitely time for an upgrade. It tops out at just 2 GB of RAM, whereas this new one handles 16 GB... plus it's AM2+.
I could potentially drop in a legendary Phenom X4 if I can snag one for a bargain, especially since I already have a decent cooler, and I actually got this motherboard for free. I know, I know—it's probably not worth trying to breathe new life into old hardware, but it still serves its purpose perfectly fine for me
since I make sure to clean out the dust regularly, swap out the thermal paste, and keep a close eye on temperatures. ☕ I've got a solid power supply and everything,
and because I have plenty of spare parts lying around, whenever something finally gives out, I can just swap it out without much fuss. 😉

Anyway, I was just curious about the driver situation for this ASRock AliveNF7G full HD motherboard.

If you can't find the drivers on the official manufacturer's site, you're probably going to have a hard time finding them anywhere else—unless you end up stumbling onto some sketchy third-party site. But hey, it's worth a shot to try using Microsoft and switching it over to Compatibility mode; maybe that'll do the trick... I remember last year I was installing Windows 10 on this ancient piece of junk I have, and I actually managed to get an old WLAN card working just by using Compatibility mode.
