Mouse not working / Mouse disconnected

Hey

I reset my BIOS, and now my mouse stays lit up even after I shut down the PC. I checked the motherboard for a jumper to toggle this setting, but there isn't one—and I've already poked around the BIOS settings trying to find an option to kill the power, but nothing works. It’s an ASROCK 880GMH/U3S3
If anyone actually knows how to fix this, I'd appreciate some guidance

So you're getting hung up on the advanced BIOS settings 😬

A couple of those USB ports stay live even when the PC is shut down, so you can charge stuff like your phone overnight.

Just plug your mouse into one of the ports that doesn't have that feature.

Voltage is hitting every single port now. Before I reset the BIOS, there was zero power on the USBs, but now? Now I can’t even find the setting in the BIOS to shut this damn thing off.

You can find those USB port settings here:

1. In the BIOS
2. Through the USB hub properties in Device Manager
3. Via your power plan settings

Even after you shut down the computer, there’s still power running through the motherboard—that’s why your mouse stays lit up. You should probably dive into your BIOS and look for a setting along the lines of "USB power in sleep state" or something about disabling power to USB ports during shutdown. Every board handles this differently, so I'm not quite sure what the specific label is on yours. If you can't find it there, maybe try downloading the software from the mouse manufacturer if you haven't already? You might be able to just toggle the lighting off directly through their app.

So I was digging through the manual looking for +5VSB but it looks like there’s no jumper on the motherboard and zero options in the BIOS (maybe try disabling "keyboard power on" if you haven't already).
