Mouse scroll wheel clicking issues...

Over the last few days, my mouse wheel has started making this annoying squeaking sound whenever I scroll up... It’s still under warranty for at least another month. Does anyone know if this kind of noise is actually covered?

You should probably just give the repair shop a call first—they'll let you know right away if they’re even willing to touch it.

I mean, you could technically crack it open and maybe add a tiny drop of oil to the moving parts inside... but I'm talking a literal drop, not dumping half a bottle in there.
Another thing might be that something just vibrated loose, causing that squeaking sound. Or maybe some rubber seal wore down or popped out, so... yeah, who knows.
If the techs tell you they won't take the job, then I guess you're stuck opening it up yourself.

Either file the claim right now, or wait until there's only a month left on your warranty to see if things get any worse before you decide to act.
