My posts are disappearing

My posts seem to vanish every time I leave a thread
So, here's the deal: I write a post, hit send, see it sitting there right in front of me... but then I navigate away from the topic, and suddenly, it's just gone 🤷

Do you still have three posts showing up for today? Or did you end up writing more than that?

it happened again—this is actually my second post now, since I can't seem to find the first one anywhere

I'm back—for the third time now. For some reason, my previous two posts aren't showing up, though I have a feeling once I hit send on this one, they'll finally appear... and then everything will probably vanish again once I log out.

Your posts are probably just getting swallowed up by some other thread. Maybe one that got nuked or deleted entirely.

Right now, you don't have a single one besides this specific one. Look, your posts aren't just going to vanish into thin air on their own. A moderator would have to manually delete them, and I highly doubt there's some mod sitting there in ambush, waiting for you to click "submit" just to wipe it instantly. That’s weird. You have a decent post count, too, so this doesn't make sense.
I went through this exact same thing when I first joined. My stuff kept disappearing until I realized I was doing something wrong with how I was submitting. Honestly, I couldn't even figure out where it was going. Usually, after I'd type everything out, the site would ask me to re-enter all my login info, and then once I actually sent it... nothing. Just gone.

If you're using the quick reply box and hitting send, just make sure you're actually posting within the correct thread.

It isn't that they're actually disappearing—it's just that I can't see them. I have no idea if anyone else is spotting them, but once I step away from this thread, they seem to vanish from my sight...
There’s just no logic to it whatsoever...

I think you're just hitting "back" to leave the thread, so when you return to the page, it naturally shows the timestamp from before you actually posted 😁

If you find yourself in this situation, just hit F5 after clicking Back to refresh the page properly...🙂

I see my post at first, then I head up to the navigation path—you know, where it says US Forums > Community > whatever section it was...

and suddenly my post has vanished

how does that even happen?

if I go back into that exact same thread, my response is still missing—so I just type out another one, hit "post," and then somehow both of my replies show up at once...?

I look back at the breadcrumbs—US Forums > Community > whatever...

and my posts are just gone again...

So, how's everyone holding up over there? 🤷

I honestly don't get it. Everything seems fine on my end, and things should be looking just as steady on the forums.

I guess I’ll have to log out and back in again just to see my own posts

The last time I saw you posting somewhere other than this thread was two days ago over in the Housing section—you were talking about house design, building permits, and construction stuff, if I remember correctly... 🤷 Or have you been busy lurking or posting in some other corner of the forum since then?

So, I’m using Microsoft, and my routine is always the same: hit post reply, take a quick peek at everything before actually hitting send—which I usually do if I'm dropping a link—then just click post. If I exit the thread and come back, it's right there waiting for me. When I want to check for any new updates, I'll either just smash F5 or hop out of the thread and dive back in. And since I stay logged in constantly, I don't have to deal with the headache of signing in every single time.
Doesn't seem to be an issue on my end.

Give it another shot and let me know if it still glitches out on you. It really should work. It's working fine for me.
