Need help with YouTube streaming

iPhone and Apple have their own specific workarounds you can find on the App Store, but those are really just tailored to their hardware. Generally speaking, YouTube basically pulled the plug on official support to let developers mess around with it themselves:

This might sound like a total newbie question, but what’s actually the draw to live streaming on YouTube? I know they push it hard and market it constantly, but it feels way less popular and mainstream compared to other platforms. Plus, trying to live stream directly from your phone is a massive resource hog—your battery will absolutely tank, not to mention you need a rock-solid connection, whether it's 5G or super fast WiFi, just to keep it from lagging out.
