So, here’s the situation: I’m 16, about 5'3", and weighing in around 135 pounds.
I get plenty of people telling me I'm not overweight and that I look just fine, but honestly, I’d still like to drop a few pounds.
Between school and everything else, I don't have the bandwidth for a gym membership, nor am I much of a runner or cyclist—sports were never really my thing. I eat pretty much anything; the issue is likely just a lack of movement.
If anyone has some advice regarding nutrition or perhaps some effective home workouts, I'm all ears.
🙂

A ton of people tell me I'm not even overweight, just totally fine, but honestly? I still want to drop a few pounds.
I don't have the time to be hitting up the local gym, and I'm definitely not the type to go out for long runs or bike rides—I've never been much of an athlete. I eat pretty much whatever, so the issue is probably just that I'm sitting around too much.
Does anyone have any advice? Maybe some tips on diet or some exercises I can just do at home?
🙂

Honestly, maybe the problem is that you're eating everything in sight. Just ditch the chips, the chocolate, the pastries, the fast food, and all that other junk, and you'll see a difference!

And whatever you do, do NOT start starving yourself. You are way too young for that, and trust me, it never actually works.

Look, you actually have a thread where a guy is asking for weight loss help; maybe take a look at that, there’s some really useful info in there. If you dig through my previous posts, I’ve explained quite a bit about nutrition, dieting, and just general wellness. I don't really feel like retyping everything since those posts were pretty long, so it might be easier for you to just find them. There’s plenty of other good advice in there too.
We were actually in a similar spot regarding weight and height, but by avoiding strict dieting and extreme deprivation, I managed to get to a healthy weight—I lost about 33 pounds.😉

The biggest thing you can do—honestly—is just cut out the bread and focus way more on veggies and fruit. Good luck with the weight loss!🙂

Search for my old posts—I went into detail about nutrition and dieting. I really don't have the energy to rewrite everything since those posts were massive, so just find them. You'll find plenty of good advice once you dig through.
We dealt with a similar struggle regarding our weight-to-height ratio, but by avoiding extreme diets and deprivation, I finally hit my goal (lost about 33 lbs). 😉

Fair enough, thanks. 👋
