I'm an AT&T customer using a Netgear Nighthawk.
I'm trying to set up No-IP, but I've hit a wall during configuration.
I have an active account on GoDaddy where I've already created a host using my public IP address.
On my domain server (Windows Server 2012 R2), I installed the No-IP Dynamic DNS Client and added my credentials.
After that, I logged into the router, enabled Dynamic DNS, entered my info, and saved the settings.
I set up port forwarding on the router for port 1723 and ports 47 via UDP and TCP, pointing them to the server's IP. I've also disabled the firewall on both the server and the PC I'm connecting from.
I configured a VPN connection on the client PC. In the Properties window under the Security tab, I selected:
Type of VPN : Automatic Authentication
Allow these protocols: Microsoft CHAP version 2.
The problem is, I can't establish the VPN connection.
Does this router actually support these features? Is a firmware upgrade necessary here?
If I've messed up the configuration, tell me.
