Hey,
So, I’ve still got this mouse of mine. It was solid for about three years without any issues, but lately, the scroll wheel has started acting up—it just jumps up and down constantly, making it basically unusable. I tried taking it apart to clean it out, but honestly, there isn't a single visible screw. I have no clue how to even open the thing.

I’m looking to pick up a new one. I don't need anything high-end since I mostly use my PC for basic tasks, and if I do jump into a game, it’s just some casual strategy title where precision isn't life or death.

The main things are that it needs back and forward buttons and shouldn't be too tiny. A 2-year warranty would be nice, but it’s not a dealbreaker since I’m not trying to blow a ton of cash on this—looking to stay under $15.

It might be a bit of an adjustment switching to an optical sensor if I've been using something else, but whatever, I'll manage. 🙂

I can't stand wires and dealing with cable management, so I'd love a wireless option. That said, I'm not sure if you can actually find anything decent in this price range that isn't corded. Honestly, I'd rather sacrifice the wireless freedom and go with a wired mouse than deal with a cursor that jitters all over the screen. Also, I really don't want to be constantly swapping out batteries—how often do you usually have to change them?

To wrap it up:
1. Must have back + forward buttons.
2. Price point under $33, ideally the best bang for my buck. 🙂
3. Not too small.
4. Ideally a warranty >= 24 months.
5. Optical is fine.
6. Wired is also fine.

Thanks in advance.

Usually, you'll find those screws tucked right under the Teflon feet—just peel them off and you should be able to crack the mouse open without any trouble.

Yeah. I popped it open and there’s nothing on the inside that looks like it's jamming anything, so unfortunately, it's probably just a busted mechanism...

This was the cheapest one I could find that actually has five buttons—it even lets you swap the DPIhttp://www.centro.hr/detalji_proizvo...4DD26B770.aspx.
A bunch of guys at my state university use these. It feels a little small in my hand, but hey, for the price, you can't complain much.🙂

Jeis, did you check to make sure your trash didn't end up stuck in the wheel well or something?

Alright, tried cleaning it out one more time—mostly just the basement area. It turns out a ton of fiber had built up, though I didn't really notice until I looked at it under better lighting. It was clogging up the internal parts that rotate, not just the stuff you see from the outside. Honestly, it seems to be running better now. Out of maybe 20 scrolls, it skips maybe once. So, thanks again. I think I’ll hang onto this thing for a while longer. 🙂
