I see kids are lurking on forums these days, so here’s a little something for my Nike, since they kicked her off, of course. I noticed there’s already a thread about this whole "show" titled "trash," but I refuse to let my Nike be lumped in with any of that garbage.
At first, I didn't really feel like following these kids' performances; honestly, I felt just as awkward watching them as they probably felt performing. But once little Nike said she "wasn't planning on shaking in her boots from fear of failing," you had me right then and there.
And man, did she keep me hooked! My Nike, you sing so beautifully! You have the voice of a real Lady Gaga. Gosh, it’s going to be so incredible when I finally get to hear you at a concert! I can just picture myself dressing up, sitting in the dark, and just soaking it all in. Honestly, you even managed to elevate Madonna, which—if you ask me—is no easy feat.
Regardless of all those mindless comments about her legs, regardless of the even more pointless repertoire in this last episode, and regardless of the entire tone of this show—good grief, that girl can sing! I keep telling myself that.
When I saw that they had actually sent Nike home, I felt a little relieved, mostly because I won't be stuck at home on Friday nights waiting to watch TV anymore. There’s just no point.
Malachi, go fix those grades in school now, and then over the summer, go out and sing somewhere, even if it's just a little bit, so I have somewhere to travel to; otherwise, I'll be constantly playing Dido, Macy Gray, and people like that, and even this sad country needs some actual singers.
Ha, ha, I’m not going to be throwing Medyas on stage or anything, but I will be searching for you everywhere—online, in Dallas, through every music site, and at every concert.
So, yeah.
That’s what you get with internet forums, little coastalrider94, since you clearly care what the masses think! Hang in there. Don't let them get to you. And just sing, the way only you know how.
And don't be sad. You aren't the type for mass hysteria; you're a voice that true connoisseurs appreciate. People like me.
Thank you, Nicholas. Truly, thank you so much!
