I just finished installing Windows on a brand-new build, but I hit a snag. As soon as I plugged in my GPU (GeForce 210), the system automatically switched the playback device to HDMI. Suddenly, I had no sound at all. I tried switching back to my speakers, but the only options showing up were four different HDMI outputs. Even after disabling all of them, the speakers still wouldn't show up. Now that I’ve finally installed the GPU drivers, I'm getting an error saying "no audio output devices are installed."
Do I need to pick up a new sound card, a new graphics card, or something else entirely?
Thanks! 🙂

Did you actually install the motherboard drivers?

Man, I hate it when an issue pops up only to find out there was a dead simple fix... but yeah, I already tried reinstalling the motherboard drivers, updating the audio via Device Manager, and even doing a fresh install of Windows. In the end, I just went into the BIOS and disabled the Nvidia HD audio, and everything is working perfectly now. You guys can close this thread. 😵 🙂
Thanks anyway.👍
