Non-stop [2014]

Before he goes after the last surviving member of the Albanian mob in Taken 3, Liam Neeson is going to be playing a bit of a "Sputnik 57" role. 😁

Basically, hitting theaters on February 28th next year is Non-stop, where Liam plays an air marshal on an international flight traveling between New York City and London. Things get messy when the marshal (played by Bill Marks) starts getting these threatening texts claiming a passenger will be killed every 20 minutes unless the demands of an Unknown perpetrator are met. And the demands aren't even complicated—just wire $150 million to a secret account. 😁

The film is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, who previously teamed up with Liam on Unknown, and it’s produced by Iron Man's wife Susan Downey along with Joel Silver.

Joining Liam in the cast are Julianna Moore, Scoot McNairy, Michelle Dockery, and Anson Mount (who you might recognize as Cullen Bohannon from Hell on Wheels).

Honestly, Liam Neeson is just the perfect guy for these kinds of cheesy flicks, isn't he? I mean, the man was basically born to carry action-thriller hybrids on his back.

It actually looks like it might be a decent watch, so we'll just have to wait and see how it plays out.

Wait, did I actually catch that right? Like, Batman's dad is the one flying the plane, while Batman's mentor is busy defending it... 😁 Anyway, looks pretty cool. Neeson is just a bigger bad ass than Diesel, Rock, Sly, Arni, and all those other guys 😛

Man, these half-hour trailers are a joke—they basically spoil 90% of the movie before you even buy a ticket.

It'll probably be alright, but I'm just not feeling it.🤷

What really gets me is seeing how they handle the plane crash scene; they're definitely going to make the plane look like it's totaled, even though I'm pretty sure at least half those people are walking away unscathed.🙂

Honestly, as long as Liam Neeson can take a joke and poke fun at himself, I don't care what he does. That’s all that matters.

The trailer looks pretty solid to me; I’m really hoping for some good old-school action, and Neeson has always proven he can deliver that kind of intensity. Then you have Julianna Moore, who honestly just seems to get better with age. 😍
This is definitely one of those movies you'll want to catch on the big screen!

Honestly, it looks awesome to me... definitely worth a watch! Until Taken 3 finally drops, this is basically going to be my Taken 2.5 🙂

Julianna Moore absolutely commands the screen.

Looks like the movie is set for a pretty solid opening weekend here in the States. Friday alone pulled in about $10 million, which puts us on track to wrap up the weekend somewhere around the $30 million mark. For context, the production budget—not even counting the massive marketing push—was sitting at $50 million. Who knows, maybe we'll actually see a 😁Non-stop
sequel one day.

Non-stop is actually a solid watch, even if it’s got its flaws. It’s basically popcorn cinema—just turn your brain off and enjoy the ride. It stays tense enough, which is pretty much all you want from this kind of flick. Liam Neeson is great, though Julianna Moore is definitely underused here.

I basically just stumbled into the theater by accident, but man, I am so glad I did! Honestly, if they had just cranked up the paranoia during those final scenes a little bit more, it would have been absolutely perfect 😛

They were being watched constantly, plus their hands were tied in the second half.
Maybe there was an explanation, but I missed it.

And considering what happened in Malaysia,
Some theories actually line up with the movie.

Watched it yesterday. It was fun and (mostly) tense...

Neeson has turned into such a serious actor. It’s honestly a blast to watch. I mean, seriously, why can't kidnappers be a little more creative sometimes? Instead of just demanding cash, why don't they ask for something wild, like having Hillary Clinton film a video with George W. Bush or something crazy like that.

One of the villains actually caught me off guard—I was totally shocked when they were revealed, though I won't say which one just yet. On the other hand, I figured out the second one almost immediately, pretty much right at the start of the movie.
All in all, it’s a solid film. Honestly, it’s nice to finally see a classic like this without all the sci-fi nonsense and impossible stunts... it really hits that sweet spot of those 90s genre flicks.

Caught a movie at the theater this past Saturday; it was either this or NFS. 🤣

The acting isn't groundbreaking, and the characters aren't exactly reinventing the wheel, but it’s got that classic old-school vibe. It actually hits you with that Executive Decision nostalgia, even though the movie just dropped two weeks ago. Honestly? It was surprisingly fun. A solid 7/10 for me—definitely didn't regret spending the $9.00 money on a ticket.

Honestly, a pretty pleasant surprise... nothing groundbreaking, sure, but I was fully expecting it to be a total disaster.

The best part, I guess, is how the whole ninety minutes plays out inside an airplane. Even so, the film stays incredibly engaging and never gets boring 🙏

Personally, I found it rather underwhelming; nothing particularly special about it, I suppose.

It seems to drag quite a bit right around the halfway mark, and I have to say, they really stumbled when it came to the countdown on the bomb and how they transitioned through those interludes.
