Let me try to explain what I'm actually looking for here.
So, I'm running Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 and using Outlook Express for my email.
Basically, I want this super cute little animation to pop up whenever a new email hits my inbox—like a tiny flying letter with wings that flutters all over the screen.
I saw this thing on a computer ages ago and in a couple of American movies, and now I'm totally obsessed with getting it on my own machine. The catch is, I have zero clue what the program is called or where to even find it. We already asked some tech guys about it, but they were clueless.

If anyone knows what this is, please help a girl out! Just tell me the name of the software and how to get it working on my PC.

Thanks a bunch 🙂.

Does it really have to be that specific animation, or can we go with something a bit more serious?

It doesn't even have to be that cheesy flying envelope animation or whatever. Just some kind of visual cue so I don't have to manually click into my inbox every five seconds. Especially when I'm actually waiting on something important—constantly checking just to see if it's arrived is driving me nuts.

Look, at the end of the day, you’ve gotta have some kind of program running in the background if you actually want to check your mail—and more importantly—if you want to get those little notifications when something new hits your inbox. Honestly, whether you're using Outlook Express or some other client doesn't really change the fundamental logic here. I mean, why are you even closing Outlook Express in the first place?

Give this a shot! Just set up your email accounts within the app, and if you have a few different ones, it’ll constantly check them for you. It even uses cool animations and sounds to let you know when new mail hits your inbox.

Honestly, I have no clue why I keep closing Outlook. Probably just a bad habit—if I’m not using it this second, it's gotta go.

ac_thunder thanks, I'll give it a shot. 🙂
