I need the actual latest driver, not one of those useless driver detectors or those programs that scan for updates and claim they found something new.

Look, if you just use the official driver detector tool straight from the NVIDIA website—not some sketchy third-party bloatware—it'll grab exactly the latest drivers you need.

Alternatively, you can go through fadedorca66's link and navigate the dropdown menus manually: select desktop graphics, then the GeForce 600 series, and finally Windows 7 (just make sure you pick 64-bit or 32-bit depending on what you're running).

Just a heads-up though: NVIDIA hasn't released new drivers for the GeForce 600 series or older hardware for quite a while now; they've officially moved into "legacy" status.😬

I already tried that, and it’s still telling me my drivers are 22 months out of date. I’m honestly sitting here wondering if I can just lie to "Can I Run It" about my specs... xd

The last stable release (I assume it's Microsoft Certified Hardware) dropped about 22 months ago, while the latest beta version is roughly 15 months old. If you’ve been relying on automatic updates, you probably haven't even touched the beta versions. Honestly, the only real difference is the user interface; you get the "crimson" look with the beta, but there isn't any actual performance boost.



Don't sweat it when third-party software flags your drivers as "out of date." Like I mentioned before, these are the final drivers ever released for this specific series, so nothing newer is coming down the pipeline.

By the way, the numbering system is pretty straightforward: the first two digits represent the year, the second number is the month, and the third indicates which driver was released during that month.
