Hey guys, my laptop's been acting super sluggish lately so I tried running a recovery, but it totally crapped out at 50%. I kept hitting reset and then this screen popped up... I was running Windows 10 on it, so does anyone know how I can get Windows back on there? It's being weird and won't even accept my USB drive

Try booting up some Linux from a CD, back up all your critical files to an external drive, run a hard drive diagnostic, and then go ahead with a fresh OS installation.
Only commit to installing that new system if the hard drive passes its tests and comes back error-free.
I've dealt with similar error messages myself in the past, and this was how I managed to sort it out.

I’d suggest booting up with a Linux Mint live USB. Use that to move all your files over safely, and then—just like my friend mentioned—you can go ahead and install a fresh version of Windows onto your drive.
