Why isn't there an Outer Space subforum or something like that? I'm really into this stuff, and I honestly think it would pull in a lot of curious people too. I'd love to post about satellite launches (like Sarsat, MSG, Cospas, GOES, Iridium, NOAA, NASA, SpaceX...) and where they sit in orbit and what they actually do. Plus planets, stars, those new telescopes, NASA, and the ISS. I'd even start threads about military satellites just hanging out over our heads with all their various tech and weaponry. Or maybe talk about distant galaxies and the possibility of life on other planets...

Does anyone know how I can get in touch with the head editor of this site to pitch the idea?
The astrology section is way too crowded with horoscopes and all that alternative stuff, so I wouldn't want to post here—that whole subforum feels a bit too unserious for this kind of topic.
thanks!

Natural Sciences subforum, or just the world around us
Look, nobody is stopping you from starting a thread or even a whole series of them
It's not like we're going to go through the trouble of building an entirely new subforum just so you have a dedicated corner to vent in...

I could find a thousand people on Facebook who are obsessed with this stuff too.
And that’s proof enough that other people want it here.
I'm sticking to my guns with this suggestion. I really hope we can make it happen, no matter what.
Because honestly, it feels wrong for a modern American site to be missing a dedicated space for space exploration. 🙂

It’s becoming quite impossible to get anything done lately; Facebook seems to have completely lost its grip on reality ☕

Well, that's one way to look at it. 🙂

You ever notice how one guy posts some deep thought about how the universe is just way too massive for the human brain to even wrap itself around, and then the other 999 people just hit him with an "I like" button? It’s kind of ridiculous when you think about it.
🙂
Look, nobody’s actually complaining about having more subforums or whatever, provided there’s an actual reason for them to exist in the first place.
I mean, if enough people start showing up and generating enough threads to prove there's a demand, then sure, opening a new subforum is a non-issue.
