Ugh. So, here's the thing. It used to be that I’d get this pain in my left ovary area just a few days before my period. It was brief, didn't really bother me, and only happened right before or during the start of my cycle.

If I'm remembering correctly, the pain is centered around my left ovary.

The issue is, for the last month or two, that pain hasn't gone away. It’s basically there all month long now. I have no idea why. To describe it... it feels like someone is poking at the spot with a needle. It doesn't radiate; it's always the exact same spot. It sort of "pulses"—it hurts, then stops, it isn't constant. It doesn't stop me from doing things, though sometimes the sharp stabs are a bit stronger. Maybe it has something to do with how often I walk around barefoot? I guess I don't know.

Has anyone else dealt with something like this, or does anyone have an idea what might be going on? I'm starting to worry it might be something more serious... thanks in advance...

I get that same sharp pain in my right ovary for a few days
before my period starts, too... but I honestly never realized it could be
anything more intense than just standard PMS😕

Ever since I switched over to the pill (Cilest), it feels like
it’s happening way more often. I'm just now starting to wonder about it...

I think I'm actually gonna bring it up with my OB-GYN at my next appointment.
If you're feeling worried, I'd definitely suggest doing the same thing!👋

Look, you can't mess around when it comes to your ovaries. It’s definitely worth getting an ultrasound just to be on the safe side.

I know from experience that I get those pains right around day 14, right when I'm ovulating...

Yeah, I probably need to go get checked out because this has started feeling weird... It didn't seem suspicious when it was just during my period, but having this pain every single day is strange. I guess we'll see. 🙂

I dealt with some ovarian pain myself once, only to find out I had a cyst. Luckily, it was just a simple fluid-filled one that ended up rupturing on its own, though there are definitely the types you actually have to go under the knife for. My OB-GYN mentioned back then that these water cysts are super common—most women don't even realize they’re there unless one pops during their period. They aren't usually dangerous, so maybe that's what's going on with you? Either way, you should probably check in with your doctor just to be safe.

My ovaries kill me all the time during ovulation—honestly, sometimes I can barely move... I mean, it's probably normal, but *Taylor Swift*, I'd seriously recommend seeing a gynecologist just to be sure...
