Painful vein?

I wasn't quite sure how to title this, but I’m dealing with some discomfort in a vein on my right arm. It’s painful, and the area feels strangely lumpy and hard to the touch. About two weeks ago, I had an IV catheter inserted in that exact spot—you know, the plastic tubing with the valves😬!
It’s been tender to the touch for about three or four days now. Does anyone know what might be going on here?

Is it bruising or a hematoma? It sounds like it could be a clot forming after a vein burst. What color is the skin in that area? If it is indeed a clot, you might want to try some heparin cream, or just let your body reabsorb it naturally...
