Good day!
I’ve been running into a bit of a headache with my PC lately. Every time I fire it up and settle into a gaming session for maybe two or three hours, the whole system just freezes up on me, followed by the dreaded Blue Screen of Death. Once that happens, I’m greeted with the error message "reboot and select proper boot device."
I would really appreciate some help getting this sorted out; I'm currently running Windows 8.1, though I actually ran into this exact same issue back when I was using Windows 7.

It feels like my hard drive is starting to smell a bit funky—if you know what I mean. Could you download CrystalDiskInfo? Once you get it installed, just grab a screenshot and post it here on the forum so we can take a look and see if the drive itself is actually failing.

Well, the computer is actually only a month old.

Scroll down a bit, why's it labeled caution?

Not really, I was just doing a little digging on YouTube earlier. It seems like most people are leaning toward being cautious, which is probably why I mentioned it.

Just scroll down and let me know which error you're seeing—or maybe just snap another photo 🙂

There aren't any errors here; all the numbers follow this same pattern and are arranged just like this.

Maybe try swapping out that SATA cable from the hard drive? It might just be acting up—you know how these things go. 🤷
