Hey,
After two years, I've finally decided to start upgrading my PC bit by bit. My main goal is to pick up the new NFS and Call of Duty, so I wanted to check if this setup can actually handle those and similar titles before I drop any cash. First on my list is adding at least another 8GB of DDR RAM—I know for a fact I need it. I'm also looking at grabbing a 1TB HDD since modern games are massive and my current drive is hitting its limit. Since you guys clearly know more than I do, could you let me know if these upgrades make sense? Or should I be looking to swap out other components instead? Thanks.

Specs:
1.AMD Ryzen 5 1400
2.Gigabyte AB350M-HD3 AM4
3.Corsair 1x8GB DDR4 2666LP
4.Kingstone SSD 120 GB A400
5.Seagate BarraCuda 1GB
6.Gigabyte GF GTX1050Ti D5 4GB
7.Fortron Hyper 500W

RAM and the hard drive look fine—that’s probably my best bet right now. I’d hold off on the graphics card until after the New Year since that’s a bigger chunk of change. If I just grab those two things and skip the GPU for now, would that be a solid move?🤔

Look, skipping the GPU won't give you an immediate boost in gaming performance. But if spending big on a card right now isn't in the budget, go ahead and start there. RAM and SSD prices are actually pretty decent at the moment.

As for the graphics card, maybe aim for some deals around Black Friday or look for something after the New Year.

small update: my brother is buying a new GPU and asked if I wanted his old one. He’s got an ASUS dual series GeForce ® GTX 1060 OC edition 3GB GDDR5. Would that be okay? I'm assuming it'll perform better than mine.

It’s a bit better, I guess, even if it still lags because of that 3GB of RAM.
