PC upgrade ideas?

Right now, I am running an Intel Core i3 with Integrated Graphics, and while I suppose I am quite satisfied with how things run—I can handle about 99% of games on medium settings—
I am wondering if it is actually possible to install a more capable gaming graphics card to boost my performance.
Regarding my budget, I haven't quite settled on a specific number yet; perhaps you could provide a few different options that would be compatible with this setup? Ideally, I would like to stay under $500 if that is feasible.

Just as a side note: if you happen to notice any other component upgrades that might improve performance without being astronomically expensive, I would appreciate your input. However, the graphics card remains my primary priority.

Everything looks solid, you just need a decent GPU.

Maybe you could pick up a dedicated CPU cooler too, if you're looking to squeeze out some extra overclocking headroom.

Excellent, I will go ahead and use that graph then. As for overclocking, I am honestly at a loss as to how to proceed. I attempted it previously on my old PC, but I never quite mastered the process. To be perfectly candid, however, I am more than satisfied with my current performance levels.
