PDF Moderation Jokes

The "Jokes" thread is honestly turning into a total dumpster fire lately—mostly because we've only got one mod popping in once every few months to check on us.

Instead of actual jokes, the feed is just constant bickering, comment wars, and let's be real, way too much NSFW stuff blowing up in our faces via text, images, and GIFs.

I really think it’s time we either swap out the current moderator or bring in some active mods from one of the other subreddits to actually keep things under control.

We’re definitely aware of the situation, and believe me, we’ve already been hashing out the idea of bringing on someone new—we even have a few candidates in mind that we're looking into. Stryker pops in every now and then to tidy things up, but the plan is to get a much more hands-on moderator in place pretty soon to really keep an eye on this community.🙂

The only moderator who actually posted was Zodiac, and even then, the last one was back on February 5th, 2012, and the one before that was September 23rd, 2011...

Honestly, this is just such a letdown...

Like I mentioned before, Stryker is around there all the time helping out with the moderating. And while Zodiac hasn't been posting anything in the public sections of the forum lately, that definitely doesn't mean he hasn't been lurking around.

I was looking over some of the points made by Henry Hernandez7, and while I see where he's coming from, I can't help but feel like we're missing a massive piece of the puzzle if we don't look at the broader context of how things operate here in the States. Don't go rushing in just yet—it's honestly not nearly as bad as it looks right now.

Right now, the ratio of jokes to actual serious stuff is basically fifty-fifty.
But once we hit that point where there's only one joke for every ten serious moments...
