Onions are basically god-tier vegetables—every single variation is just perfection.
I’m honestly thinking about putting a turnip on my family crest.
Oh man... cabbage and beans / salty turnips and grits / that's the life right there.

Honestly, I’d rather deal with that than whatever other garbage you put on your list—and now we’re all stuck living with those choices, I guess.
🙂

Can we just get an actual expert in produce or some kind of agricultural specialist to weigh in? Someone who actually knows their stuff should settle this debate over cantaloupe vs. honeydew or whatever... because frankly, I don't trust a single word coming out of your mouths.

Go ahead and try. Personally, I think it’s absolute garbage. 🙂

My definitive ranking of weather vibes:

Vegetables don't last long at my place, unless you count being part of my digestive tract as "living."

Somebody get me an actual agricultural expert to judge this melon situation. I don't trust any of you guys.

Just Google it, man. Seriously. And FYI, melons and cantaloupe count as vegetables in this crazy world.

My weather ranking:
1. 👋 👋 SUMMER TIME 😍 👋 staying out until past seven PM 🙂 sun, fun, good vibes 👋 image

Oh, absolutely—especially when you're working early in the morning after being at a concert until 2 AM. If the lousy weather makes it feel like it's already 3 AM, you end up missing your bus and don't get home until 4:30.

Drew Adams58 said:Hell yeah, especially when you're working early after being at a show until 2 AM, but because the weather sucks you end up staying out until 3, miss all the buses, and don't crawl back home until 4:30.

John Doe, why was the late-night bus situation such a disaster?😵

Drew Adams58 said:Yeah, especially when you’re trying to function in the morning after staying out at a concert until 2:00 AM—only for the shitty weather to make it feel like you were stuck there until 3:00, and then you miss your bus and don't even crawl into bed until 4:30.

I get where you're coming from; the transition itself is definitely uglier, but the end result looks much better. 😍 It evens out.
Sleeping until three. 🙂

Cantaloupe—you know, the one with the yellow flesh? It’s actual fruit, and honestly, it’s probably the greatest thing on the planet, right after punk rock. 🙂

That might be how things work for folks like Joe Smith, but down in Florida, it's all about cantaloupe, period.

For some weird reason, I have this saved in a folder of random texts titled "Very Important Debate":

[hollowseal33] jeez, I'm done eating cherries, I'll eat anything else
[Kevin Chavez3] man, I can't wait for cantaloupe
[Kevin Chavez3] imagine waking up hungover, opening the fridge, and pulling out a cold cantaloupe
[Kevin Chavez3] mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
[Kevin Chavez3] so good
[hollowseal33] ugh, I love cantaloupe 😁 do you mean the pink kind or the yellow kind?
[hollowseal33] to me, cantaloupe is pink, and honeydew is yellow
[hollowseal33] I don't like honeydew as much, but it's okay
[Kevin Chavez3] the yellow one
[Kevin Chavez3] wait, does pink fruit even exist?
[hollowseal33] oh, pink is better
[hollowseal33] you know, green on the outside, pink on the inside
[Kevin Chavez3] watermelon, duh
[hollowseal33] cantaloupe, obviously
[Kevin Chavez3] nothing is pink on the inside
[hollowseal33] my god, how can you say that? cantaloupe is green with light green stripes on the outside, and pink on the inside with black seeds
[Kevin Chavez3] nope
[Kevin Chavez3] you're imagining things
[Kevin Chavez3] you definitely must have been high
[hollowseal33] honeydew is yellow with a greenish skin, and yellow on the inside with a bunch of yellowish seeds in the middle
[hollowseal33] you have no clue
[hollowseal33] I don't do drugs
[Kevin Chavez3] maybe I should get high too so I can see pink cantaloupes and purple rabbits
[hollowseal33] so what color is your cantaloupe on the inside?
[Kevin Chavez3] yellow
[hollowseal33] and watermelons?
[Kevin Chavez3] and the song goes, "it's no use, musicians, the cantaloupes are yellow for someone else"
[Kevin Chavez3] watermelons are red, thank God
[hollowseal33] 🤣
[hollowseal33] they aren't red, they're pink 🙄
[hollowseal33] do you even know what red looks like?
[Kevin Chavez3] don't be stupid
[Kevin Chavez3] I know
[Kevin Chavez3] my dad was in the Red Sox for 25 years
[hollowseal33] I have no idea
[Kevin Chavez3] see, that's what I'm saying
[Kevin Chavez3] you don't know
[hollowseal33] but I know cantaloupe is pink on the inside. debate over.
[Kevin Chavez3] so where's the difference between cantaloupe and watermelon?
[hollowseal33] we can take this argument outside if you really want to 😁
[hollowseal33] watermelon represents a group of fruits that includes cantaloupe and honeydew. honeydew is yellow, cantaloupe is pink. on the inside.
[Kevin Chavez3] alright, we're getting somewhere
[Kevin Chavez3] now I'm going to read the word you call "pink" as "red"
[hollowseal33] rose!
[Kevin Chavez3] and agree that the problem is just terminology, since around here, what you call "cantaloupe" is called watermelon
[Kevin Chavez3] while what you call "honeydew" is called cantaloupe
[Kevin Chavez3] it's just cultural differences
[Kevin Chavez3] anyway, I'm going to bed to dream about cold cantaloupes

Pink is cantaloupe, yellow is lemon.

Honestly, forget about those yellow melons. In my opinion, the pink variety—which can turn deep red once it’s fully ripe—is easily five times better than the yellow ones.

Cantaloupe goes with prosciutto, which makes it yellow. Watermelon is eaten on its own, so it's red.
