So, I’ve been dealing with this nagging cough for about a week now—plus there's this weird rattling sensation in my chest that just won't quit. It isn't constant, though; it just pops up randomly. The coughing seems to be tapering off, I guess, but that annoying "rattle" is still hanging around. Has anyone else dealt with something similar? How did you handle it? And more importantly—is it worth making an appointment with a doctor?
To make matters worse, I had a nearly identical situation about six months ago. Back then, the coughing was brutal—my whole chest actually ached—and that rattling feeling was way more intense and all over the place. It ended up clearing itself up on its own after I tried some homeopathic remedies, or so it seemed. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

It isn't constant, just happens sporadically, but it's there. The coughing itself seems to be tapering off, but that annoying little "rattle" just won't quit. Has anyone else dealt with something similar? How did you get past it? And honestly, should I just bite the bullet and see a doctor?
Also, about six months ago, I went through something almost identical. My coughing was so intense and brutal that my entire chest actually ached, and that rattling feeling was way more pronounced and spread out across my lungs. Thankfully, that episode cleared up on its own after I took some homeopathic remedies. I'm looking for any advice you all might have.

Thanks in advance

It is entirely possible that you’ve developed some mucus buildup that has settled deep in your lungs, which usually points toward an infection. If I were in your shoes, I would definitely schedule an appointment with a doctor to have them listen to your chest... especially since this seems to be a recurring issue for you. They will likely prescribe an antibiotic along with some cough suppressant or expectorant.

I know exactly how you feel; when I had bronchitis as a kid, it felt like there were tiny little kittens meowing inside my lungs! hehe
