Picking a new username

I just set up a new username, but I’m getting an error saying I don't have access yet...
I can't even make a single post, let alone tweak my settings or change my avatar...
Does anyone know why? My handle is brand new and seems totally fine—I can log in without any issues...

I’ve never been a fan of clones. It’s a shame.

Look, don't go making clones of yourself, but did you actually confirm via email? When you sign up, you get an automated message with a verification link inside. You just click that link and you're good to go.
