Profiles aren't being deleted.

Under CCPA, aren't you required to delete a user's profile if they ask for it?

Nah.

Setting legalities aside, does the forum have the technical capacity to delete a user profile while keeping their posts intact?

I previously mentioned something similar in another thread:

I am quite interested in this, and it seems like a superior alternative to the current practice of "banning users upon request" for a set period, such as two years. This approach would protect users from having their history searched and provide a level of privacy. At the same time, they could return if they change their minds without being restricted by temporary bans.

Perhaps the forum could also automatically remove profiles associated with inactive or unverified email addresses. This would free up many usernames for others to use.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they don't just wipe profiles because there’s a whole lot of political maneuvering behind the scenes.

Think about it—every major social media platform out there has its own content moderation teams, massive data servers, and, let's face it, plenty of ways to push specific agendas or spread misinformation if they really wanted to.

I’m closing this thread because I have absolutely no intention of turning this space into a playground for trolls or whatever baseless paranoia is being peddled here.
