Police or Facebook?

So, let's say someone close to you gets killed. You're stuck with this choice: do you actually call the local police department, or do you just try to run your own little cyber investigation using Facebook? I mean, we've already seen cases where some random folks on Facebook basically cracked a murder case while the actual detectives were just sitting there doing nothing...........

I feel like any sane person would call the police first and then maybe post about it on Facebook if needed. Doing it solely through social media without notifying the authorities is just wrong.🤷

I don't get why there's an "or" in there?

If the victim had a Facebook account, they probably wouldn't even bother running an investigation☕
