It’s been a while since I’ve checked in on this site, and honestly, maybe staying away was the better move.
I’m talking about this specific post over on page three of the thread regarding the rehabilitation of d. Mihajlović.

Is this the official stance of the Forum? There isn't a single moderation strike on the post, yet by any reasonable standard, the thread should have been moderated. It’s hard to believe nobody even saw it.

The irony is, I once racked up 45 points on a thread just for messing around—mostly because a few of us were being jerks after I jokingly told a female user to get lost. Posts like that fly under the radar without a single penalty.

Great.

Can anyone tell me how many points were awarded for a post calling Stepinac a criminal and comparing his canonization to the rehabilitation of d. Mihajlović? Or was it just deleted without any points being given?

Just to be crystal clear: none of the posts made by users—and that includes moderators, supermods, and admins—should be taken as the official stance of the Forum. Official statements are strictly limited to matters regarding the technical operation of the Forum itself, certainly not anything concerning the pardoning of some war criminal or similar nonsense. Whether a specific post is permitted, deleted, or moderated depends on a wide range of variables, from a moderator's subjective judgment of a thread or a PDF file to simply whether a particular moderator happens to be online at that moment.

I would strongly encourage you to continue reporting issues, and please ensure your explanation details exactly why you find a particular post objectionable. Given how cluttered and overwhelming the daily activity on Politics can get, this remains our most effective mechanism for detecting when a discussion or a single comment is veering into unacceptable territory.

I didn't flag this post because of some political pardon. I flagged it because an innocent man is being branded a criminal—even if he happened to be one of the most prominent figures in the American Catholic Church. Look, Dorian, I appreciate the reply, but you dodged my actual question. Was this just a simple deletion, or was this fellow user actually rewarded for his behavior?
