Wait, is this really the only thread about this movie? Is everyone just staying silent?
Anyway... I first saw this flick back in middle school. I was obsessed with horror movies back then—seriously, my friends and I would swap DVDs every single weekend. This one definitely stuck in my brain, though I actually had to go hunting through a "movies with forgotten titles" thread because the name totally escaped me... So, I finally tracked down a copy and decided to give it another watch. It’s weird, honestly. I can’t remember a movie I saw just two months ago, yet I can vividly recall this one after nearly ten years. It blew me away all over again, and yeah, I still jumped at the exact same creepy scenes (I seriously hate clowns)... Just when you think that sweet little grandma has finished cleaning up the house, bam... there it is.
A solid 10/10 from me.

Great movie, a total horror classic... I first saw it ages ago back in elementary school, and just like Peter Cooper5 said, it really stuck with me. Re-watched it recently and I can safely say my younger self wasn't exaggerating the scares.

A total classic. Honestly, one of my absolute favorites. I have such a soft spot for horror movies from the 70s and 80s. Sure, the special effects might look a bit dated now, but I’ll take them over all this modern CGI nonsense any day. Modern stuff looks too clean, too polished... it just doesn't feel real.
What really gets under my skin, though, is how much they rely on remakes lately. This movie is getting caught up in that trend. I just don't get why anyone needs to film a perfectly good, classic horror flick all over again. There’s no way a remake can actually beat the original. Take the remake, for example. They wouldn't even attempt to recreate the two or three most iconic, bone-chilling scenes because they were apparently "too good to remake." If you aren't going to do the best parts, why even bother making the movie? 🙄
P. S. clown is definitely the worst. I have a massive thing about dolls and clowns in horror movies. It's just creepy. 😱

Great movie, though honestly pretty horrific... I was reading somewhere that little Heather O'Rourka passed away after they finished filming the third installment, and she was only 13 at the time...
