POS software for a convenience store

I’m looking for some kind of free software—ideally one that's available in English—for something pretty basic. I just need to manage what happens at a convenience store kiosk (like when someone buys a Coke, I scan it or type in the code, then enter how much they owe and how much change to give back...). I stumbled upon this It's free, but my only gripe is that there's an ad stuck in the header. Is there any way I could tweak that to display something else instead?

So, just toss a Button1 and a TextBox1 onto your form. Then, set it up so when you double-click Button1, you run some code like this: if TextBox1.Text = ("Type your stuff here") then MsgBox("Tell me which item it is and how much it costs") and so on.

I mean, don't you think he’s missing a few pieces of the puzzle? He probably needs a way to scan barcodes, a way to show how much change to give back, and maybe some kind of inventory tracker so he can check his stock against what's actually on the shelves later on. Plus, he'll definitely need something to print out receipts... 🤷
