Another moderator ended up deleting your post, so I’ll just step in to provide some extra context while we wait for her to weigh in. You were asking if I was the one who removed it, and once I told you I wasn't, you moved on to asking where and at what price you could pick up a Havanese Bichon.

My answer remains the same—and will continue to be—that you should reach out to the NBA. We simply don't support buying dogs without papers or supporting illegal breeders here in the KLJ section. While we realize people will always try to find ways to buy from backyard breeders or smugglers, we have absolutely no desire to act as middlemen for that kind of activity.

Beyond all that, you actually brought up the question about Havanese Bichons in a thread specifically dedicated to Maltese, even though there is an entire separate section for Bichons. One would think that a regular user with 155 posts would take the time to notice and read through our pinned topics, such as the Rules, where everyone is clearly instructed to check the topic list before jumping in.

It feels like you’ve brushed all of that aside, yet you still feel entitled to criticize how we moderate the KLJ area. Honestly, if you happened to add Reddit to your Favorites in the meantime, please do me a favor and go ahead and remove it. Thanks! 🙂

Like, why would I be adding or removing anything from my favorites? Honestly, given how polite you're being, I don't think that's really your concern...

But let's just take this step by step:

1. Your reply took hours. If you actually wanted to answer me, you could've done it way sooner (I opened this thread an hour after my initial question and that first message from you). Don't try to frame it like I'm disrespecting your response. And yeah, why would I buy a dog—which is for my niece, by the way—from a smuggler? You clearly think I'm some kind of criminal, someone totally insignificant, let alone someone worth asking for info...

2. Yeah, okay, I posted it under Maltese. But I asked you where I should go for info if I messed up, and what was your answer?
The thread you're now suggesting (I saw it, by the way) has had maybe three posts in the last two years. That's why I left my post in a much more active thread....
I don't think I broke any rules regarding decent communication. I asked for help, and you guys wouldn't give it. I mean, do I need to finish a four-year degree just to find basic information buried in your PDF? With all due respect to "proper communication," tell me, or maybe I should just pick a different major entirely?

And look, I have every right to criticize anyone's work if I feel like it's not right. It's not like the world is ending for either of us. I got the info I needed from places where people are actually willing to help and share what they know, unlike you guys....

I am truly sorry that you had to wait for several hours. If I were feeling particularly mischievous, I might suggest this was just excellent training for when you have to wait for a pet. You’ll be waiting on a good pet for quite a few months.

But in all seriousness, I don't work for the Reddit information desk; I'm just a volunteer moderator. I jump in whenever I can find a spare moment, which usually means checking in at least once a day to see if anything needs my attention or an intervention. If you're looking for someone on 24/7 duty, you'll probably have to look elsewhere.

That is all I can offer from my side. If that doesn't quite clear things up for you, then I'm afraid I've given you all the answers I have.

Basically, you didn't even bother to skim the thread titles or search for the specific dog breed section, yet somehow you had the energy and the time to open up a formal complaint thread.

Here I am, someone with zero experience with dogs, being told I'm lazy, that I didn't try hard enough to read titles, that I don't know breed specifics (though I assume Maltese and Bichons have some connection), and being pointed toward the prospective owner thread when my post clearly stated I'm not one (it was emphasized the pet is for my niece).
