I have spent some time re-reading the Reddit community guidelines and the specific rules governing this particular sub-forum, yet I find myself stumped because nowhere does it explicitly state whether one is permitted to post multiple consecutive replies within a single thread 😕. For instance, I recently started a discussion seeking recommendations for a new laptop, but unfortunately, after several days of waiting, the silence has been deafening. Now I am left wondering if it is considered a violation of the rules to follow up on my own post—perhaps after a reasonable amount of time has passed—simply to nudge the conversation along in hopes of finally receiving some guidance. I am sincerely hoping that whichever moderator happens to stumble upon this inquiry might be so kind as to provide some clarity 🙂.

You can, provided enough time has actually passed. What they don't allow is spamming edits back-to-back—basically, if you're still within that initial 90-minute window where you can edit your original post, you shouldn't be hitting that button over and over.
