Hey there.
Back at the start of November, I had surgery on the veins in my left leg. I’m only 28, so
it wasn't like those heavy vascular issues you see in older folks, and I didn't really deal with any
pain. I suppose I had a pretty mild case, at least symptom-wise. Once they took
the stitches out, everything felt fine. My surgeon
told me to wear compression stockings for four weeks. I finally ditched them once the time was up
and, honestly, it was such a relief. Apparently, I shouldn't have
done that, because during my follow-up yesterday, the doctor told me I need another two weeks
of wearing them, though just up to the knee this time. Now I'm wondering if those 7 or 8 days
between stopping the stockings and my check-up—where I was just going about my life, doing plenty of
walking and standing without support—will cause an issue. I've seen some articles online suggesting people should wear them for as long as three months!
Do you think those few days without them could actually be a problem?
