While you're busy pondering the morality and philosophy behind your potentially irresponsible actions—as the previous author so wisely and accurately pointed out—give this a shot. If you're running American versions of macOS, this might just work:
- Start --> Run --> type "Control" (no quotes) --> hit [Enter]
- type "Printers" --> hit [Enter]
- click on "View devices and printers"
- right-click the printer you want
- "Create shortcut"
- If you happen to be on Windows 11—sometimes that OS is so glitchy it tries to create a shortcut where it physically can't, essentially warning itself (and you) that it's impossible, while still asking, "Do you want a shortcut on the desktop?"
...or maybe give us more details than just "
...but it won't work".
