Printer issues

Hey everyone!
I've been looking at picking up an HP DeskJet series printer—it seems like a pretty decent deal given how low the price tag is, so I was curious what you all think about it.
Specifically, I'm wondering how much regular use is actually required to keep the print head from drying out... I mean, is it necessary to turn it on every once in a while just to prevent that? And if I end up not using it for, say, a month or so, what kind of mess am I looking at?

Basically

It's a no-brainer because there's so little ink in those cartridges that it barely even has time to dry out before you're done.

Okay, I really need some help here!
I have an Epson Stylus SX115, but since I just picked up a new computer that already had its own software pre-installed, I’ve managed to lose track of my original installation CD—and now I'm totally stuck. Does anyone know if there's a way to download the drivers somewhere else, or am I out of luck?

Picked up an Epson Stylus SX125 this morning, and I’m already losing my mind trying to figure out how to load the paper. These instructions are absolute nonsense. Apparently, I’m supposed to pull some kind of edge guide, but "not too hard," which tells me nothing. I tried, but it won't budge, and now I'm terrified I'm going to snap something. Does anyone actually know how to feed paper into this thing? Is there a trick to it, or am I just being dense? HELP🤷

I finally figured out the catch, and honestly, it was me. The instructions are written so poorly that anyone would struggle with them. You actually have to squeeze the bird like a clothespin before you can pull it. These guys wrote "press against it," but press against what? It's just mindless. 🙄

Hey. Dug out an old Lexmark Z23 from somewhere in the house, and somehow the damn thing still works, though the ink is basically bone dry :P
Couldn't even print a photo to check the quality. I was actually planning on picking up a new printer soon, so now I'm wondering—is this thing worth keeping or should I just toss it in the trash? 🙂

Or, if you really want to experiment, grab some of those refillable cartridges. Honestly, I haven't tried them myself, so I can't vouch for them.

That's why getting the whole kit is such a cheap way to go since you get all the ink included.

It might work perfectly for you, or it might be a total bust. You never know with stuff from a Chinese person these days. It’s brand new, unopened. You gotta try it. Maybe you'll get lucky. Unfortunately, we only have three of these sets left in stock for testing.

The price is $67 for the full kit. That includes two refillable cartridges plus Magnetic ink (4 x 50ml).

Basically, these are special CISS cartridges designed specifically for the Lex 33. They’ve got a port for the tubing, while the external tanks hold the actual ink. According to the manufacturer, you can actually run them without the full CISS setup if you just fill the cartridges about halfway and seal off the tube connection. As the ink runs low, air expands inside the cartridge, creating enough pressure to prevent leaks. Once that vacuum gets strong enough that the printer starts struggling, you just top them off with a syringe. That should do the trick.
I haven't messed around with those specific cartridges or Lexmark printers myself. There are way more interesting things out there to play with.

That’s why the price is so low. If you factor in all the time it would take to actually test this stuff, it wouldn't be such a steal anymore.

Which multifunctional printer would you suggest for a budget under $133, provided it features the most affordable ink replacements possible
