Pro-tip for the community

So, I’ve noticed how often posts get deleted lately—even when they don't break a single rule—which actually inspired me to start copying everything I write before hitting submit.

I’d honestly recommend doing the same. If someone decides to wipe out your post just because they feel like it, you won't lose your mind because you'll have a backup ready to go.
It’s such a headache when a post vanishes into thin air without any explanation, especially if it was one of those long ones where you can't quite remember exactly how you phrased everything.

I don't see why I shouldn't do something that doesn't actually break any rules.
In my book, the people breaking the rules are the ones deleting posts for no reason without leaving a trace that they were ever there.
At least this way, I've got proof the post existed, whether it broke a rule or not.

No post is ever deleted "without a trace of its existence," and I highly doubt it happens without cause. Both supermoderators and admins maintain visibility over deleted content. As clearly indicated in the bolded section of the Terms of Service you agreed to upon registration, attempting to repost deleted content is a direct violation of the rules. If you have grievances regarding moderator conduct, please contact the Better Business Bureau and file a formal complaint there.

Everything looks great and I’m totally on board with most of this, but when I was signing up, I didn't exactly agree to stuff like:
"The moderator is basically your god and you can't question them. They have the right to delete or edit posts whenever they feel like it, or hand out unfair penalties to members. They also get to shut down threads and censor free speech without answering to anyone or allowing any discussion. Plus, they can just appoint their buddies as moderators without any kind of open competition, regardless of whether those people actually know what they're doing."

I get that under these "rules," the mods end up with unlimited power.
But, you know, there's usually an expectation that they follow some sort of code of conduct too.
The thing is, those rules just don't exist here.
