Set on the streets of New Orleans, rumors start swirling about this wild new pill that grants everyone different superpowers. Here’s the kicker—you have no clue what you’re getting until it hits your system. Some people walk away with bulletproof skin or super strength, while others... well, let's just say things go south fast. As the chaos sends Crime skyrocketing through the city, a local cop (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) joins forces with a teen dealer (Dominique Fishback) and an ex-soldier out for blood (Jamie Foxx). They decide to play dirty and use the pills themselves to hunt down the crew behind the whole mess.

The trailer looks fantastic, and the cast seems great too.. I guess the Directors have two "prestigious" films like Paranormal Activity 3 and 4 😁 and then Nerve, which was alright I suppose.. maybe I should expect a solid film that provides 2 hours of brain relaxation 👍

So I caught this one the other day

The excitement is just endless

I thought the movie was solid... the plot was engaging enough—tense in all the right ways, at least for my taste...
There was even one scene that was acted so perfectly, I actually found myself laughing out loud...

I actually found this one worth the watch because, in a way where it blends a bit of everything, it lays out this whole situation involving a new drug hitting the city... you've got the beat cop, a father searching for his kidnapped daughter whose body is basically being used to synthesize this new substance—which gives you these insane powers in five minutes flat—plus a young dealer who needs to scrape together cash to help her sick mother... then there's this trio caught between a conflict and a rescue mission, going up against some high-ranking group trying to force their vision of the future onto everyone by balancing the scales...

The movie really leaned hard into its star-studded cast and big plot promises... but honestly, it didn't do much for me. It had a great opening, but by the two-thirds mark, I was already starting to feel the drag. It’s fine if you just need something to kill two hours on a Sunday afternoon, but it definitely isn't some cinematic masterpiece you need to see.
