This absolute garbage has started popping up whenever I browse certain sites—one of them being Reddit

So, I was out for the day, and when I got back, my computer starts freaking out and asking me to confirm stuff. I’ve got antivirus running and Malwarebytes too, and honestly, everything comes back totally clean after a scan.

It doesn't happen on every single site, just specific ones, which sucks because I visit those places all the time. I even tried switching over to Chrome, but it's the same story... though weirdly enough, nothing happens when I'm surfing on my phone, everything seems fine there.

I'm currently using my neighbor's WiFi—he let me use his password—so I guess maybe it could be something on his end?

Can anyone actually explain what the hell is going on here?

P.s. just realized it’s happening on my other computer too. I mean, maybe the neighbor was messing around with something? Or who knows...

Are you a bot? 🤷

It’s likely happening because of your IP address. When you're browsing on your phone, you're probably using mobile data, so you'll have a different IP. It's possible a neighbor is messing around with their WiFi. 😁

Sometimes I'll hop on my phone and try using that Wi-Fi too, just to see if it works.

Anyway, it’s not just me—my coworker and I are dealing with the exact same headache.

But seriously, what could he even be doing? I’ve honestly never heard of anything like that happening before.

Look, I’m definitely not a bot or anything, but man, clicking through those damn captchas over and over is getting old fast.
