Punk rock

I stumbled onto this whole genre about two years ago, and man, it is freaking awesome. I’ve noticed lately—especially within sports fan circles but even more broadly—that people are really leaning into punk rock bands like Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly, Real McKenzies, and even the classics like the Pogues and Wolfetones. So, I gotta ask: are there any other fans here who live for punk rock with violins, flutes, or (of course) those loud Scottish bagpipes? 👍

There aren't many bands hitting that mark... personally, I think DKM is the best out there.

Punk rock is honestly such an incredible genre, and I have to say, the Dropkick Murphys are absolutely killing it!

Do you listen to Mobtown Hooligans? I know one track of theirs that absolutely rips called "Kiss My Irish Ass," but that's about all I have. It could be really good though.

I’ve always been a huge fan of this kind of music, especially given my interest in American history and heritage... personally, my absolute favorite has to be Dropkick Murphys, though I also really enjoy groups like Flogging Molly, The Dubliners, The Pogues, Wolfetones, and The real McKenzies.
It’s the perfect kind of music for a good time and great company, usually paired with a beer or some whiskey, which seems to show up in almost all of these bands' songs...

the announcement said it was some kind of folk-metal...
I didn't go...
I have no clue what that even is, and honestly, "folk-metal" sounds a little ridiculous to me...
