Quick question about my Intel drive

Hey everyone, I won't make this complicated. Just looking for some quick advice.
I want to drop an Intel drive into an older PC, but the motherboard doesn't support AHCI mode.
Is it actually going to work okay in IDE mode? I don't care about benchmarks or top speeds; even at a fraction of its potential, it'll still beat my old hard drive.
If it works, is there anything specific I need to tweak in Windows 10 to avoid issues?

It will be faster than an HDD, so there's no reason to worry. It works just fine.

Personally, I wouldn't recommend picking up a Samsung if your BIOS doesn't have SATA support. These drives just aren't really designed to operate in IDE mode. I'm not saying it won't boot, but it's just not ideal. You might be better off saving up for a newer setup—if that motherboard doesn't support SATA, you're probably working with a pretty ancient machine anyway.😁
