Why is someone I’ve already put on my ignore list still able to see and quote my posts? Is there a way to set it up so we both effectively vanish from each other's sight?

I suppose this is more of a question for the support forum, but since I’m already here: no, you can't control who views your posts. Even guest users have that level of access. The ignore function simply ensures that you don't have to look at posts from someone you find disagreeable—provided you aren't unfortunate enough to be dealing with someone whose posts are being hidden by a moderator.
