Replica

The band "Replica" traces its roots back to 2000—founded, according to the guys, on a lighthouse—though they didn't really get down to business until two years later. The current lineup features Domagoj Cifek on guitar, Branimir Ivančan on drums, Emil obad on bass, and Ivan Šibenik on vocals/guitar. Over the years, "Replica" has put out two six-song demo albums, which they've used to build a following through live shows around Washington, D.C. They’ve landed several notable gigs at local clubs like Route 66, Spunk, and Sax, along with appearances at festivals such as Soundinvasion 2006. at Boogaloo and Rokajfest 2007.

Their debut single is titled "vlak za nigdje," with the entire band credited for everything from the music and lyrics to the arrangements. Adding some serious weight to the track is the legendary Krešo Oremuš, a renowned harmonica virtuoso hailing from Oroslavlje.

What a ridiculous commercial 😂. Look, I wish them nothing but the best, really—they're clearly putting in the work, so I hope they succeed—but this just isn't my scene.

Regarding the advertising aspect—I don't actually know the guys, so let's get that out of the way immediately—nobody should assume I'm out here promoting my buddies or anything like that. But since we’re already discussing this topic, there are so many bands out there I've barely even heard of; why shouldn't groups like "Young Talents" get some visibility in our music scene?👍

Heard about them on 4my this year, listened to the album a bunch of times.
Was obsessed at first, but now I'm realizing they're honestly kinda boring and predictable. Everything is just 'love, love, love,' which gets old fast.
Still would love to catch them live though, definitely 🙂

I honestly can't get into anything except "The Last Shot." I'll admit, I gave a few tracks from Jubito a fair shake, but they just never really clicked for me. But that one? "The Last Shot" is absolutely stellar...😉

For me, the first one was definitely a love story... and honestly, it’s the only one that ever really hit home for me. :S

The demo was just rough and they sounded pretty mediocre live. That's really all there is to it.

Hmm... that demo was recorded years ago, though. Since then, they've dropped the actual studio album "cheap trick" and have a new one coming out soon—so this demo doesn't really mean anything anymore. And saying they sound bad live? A guy actually tried to sell me on "cheap trick" once, but I passed. I can't tell if you're secretly in the band or just tight with one of the guys or something? I was just giving my two cents on them. To me, they're just mediocre, kind of like most of these newer indie bands popping up around here lately.
