I was wondering if anyone here has dealt with a retinal tear—specifically one that hasn't detached yet? I just found out today that I have a tear caused by an impact to my eye, and according to my doctor, I’m going to need laser surgery (my prescription is -9.00 diopters). I guess I'm just curious—how successful is this laser procedure, really? And what kind of complications should I be looking out for? Please reach out if you've been through this or know someone who has... it's just—well, it's my eye, so I can't help being a little anxious about it.
